My guest today is Claire Andrefsky.  She is a social worker at Seattle Children’s Hospital and we discuss some of the popular movies and culture from her birth year of 1990.  We talk about “Goodfellas” and the nature of American violence, “Edward Scissorhands” and the positive aspects of fantasy, and “Joe Versus the Volcano” and the reality of hope.  Claire also tells quite the story about ducks in her backyard and how that relates to our ability to adapt positively to life.
