Listen Later

On today's episode, Scott interviews his friend, John Hoesly, an arranger/composer in the NY/NJ metropolitan area, who was a studio-staff bass player for Grammy award winning record producer, Tony Camillo. He began playing professionally at the age of fourteen and then attended the Manhattan School of Music as a composition major. His recording credits include playing behind musical artists that include Gladys Knight & The Pips, Tommy James, The 5th Dimension and Freda Payne, just to name a few. As an arranger, he has penned over 200 published works and has been commissioned to write pieces in many different styles. In addition, you'll hear about John's latest studio album that he produced, arranged and was featured on, entitled, "1, 2, You Know What To Do!", by the Hotel Excelsior Orchestra, playing popular music of the 1920s. This multifaceted artist definitely GOT CHOPS.
