Hi Kids! Reasoned Conversations in a Divided Generation

S1-E9: Mud Run

Listen Later

In today’s episode, we unpack a powerful analogy: life as a mud run. Every obstacle, every fall, every hardship leaves its mark. But the question is not whether we get covered in mud, it’s what we do with it.

Too often, we carry our wounds, struggles, and past experiences like dried, caked-on mud, wearing them as identity markers and seeking validation from others who say, “Me too.” While shared experience can create connection, it can also quietly reinforce a mindset that keeps us stuck in the mud rather than moving beyond it.

We challenge that narrative by pointing back to the purpose and power of Christ. True transformation is not found in comparison or collective woundedness, but in full surrender. Christ did not come to elevate our status through shared trauma, He came to testify to the truth and to make us clean.

This episode is a direct and honest call to examine whether we are holding onto the mud for identity and validation, or allowing Christ to wash us fully and lead us forward in freedom.
