There's wisdom to the old saying "it takes a village to raise a child", but often in today's society that's nothing more than satire for a reel on Instagram. In todays culture and often the church, so many moms are broken and lost and in need of a true village. Blinded by past hurts, or feeling lost in the throws of motherhood, finding a village takes a backseat, and many moms settle for mediocre friendships. But as Christ followers we are called to not only be the village, but have a village. It is not only beneficial for us as moms spiritually and practically, but to have other couples with the same values for accountability and encouragement, as well as for our children to have other followers of Christ in their lives who are speaking life into them and showing them the love of Jesus.
