Reality is vaster and beyond what you can experience through 5 senses. 

The ones that live in this physical dimension are not only human being, animals, plants, or the creatures that we think we know, but also many extraterrestrial beings that we can not see, but they also live around us. 

We might often see fairies, either in the cartoon, fiction or sci-fi movies, kids magazine/books, and many more. But as we become an adult, we start to see fairies as not an adult kinda thing, or it's just a kids stuff/tale. That's why people call it fairytale.
