As the sun rose on the Olympic flame over Atlanta on Saturday, July 27, 1996… the search for those responsible for the Olympic bombing was the top priority of every law enforcement agency in the country.
At the same time, one man, the former cop turned security guard who had helped evacuate so many people at the site of the bombing, was being hailed as a hero.
