Consadole Sapporo striker, Jay Bothroyd, sat down with Inside the Beautiful Game to discuss a career that has taken him from North London to Hokkaido.

Born in Islington, London, Jay started his career with the club he supported as a boy, Arsenal, before going to play for a host of clubs in England, for Perugia in Italy, Cardiff City, Thailand and Japan. A goalscorer wherever he has been, Jay was also capped for the England national team, becoming one of the few players to represent the Three Lions while playing outside the top-flight.
