In this episode I talk to Dr Andy Toy who has had a long career in dentistry. His fascinating story talks about the fact that when he first qualified as a dentist he couldn't get onboard with the way in which the NHS approached oral care in the UK and believed that there had to be another way. Andy talks about "growing health" in the community and taking positive action to promote better oral health for all. The Drill, Fill and Bill approach simply is not enough.
Within this episode talks candidly about some of the major obstacles he faced over the years forging this new path in dentistry but by having a clear purpose and values he was able to over come them.
