In this episode of Crystal Case Studies, Emily is joined by Sarah Caldwell Steele FGA DGA, the accredited gemmologist, geologist, and doctoral researcher who is internationally regarded as the world's leading expert on black gemstone identification.
Sarah's obsession with jet started at 7 years old, when a lifelong relationship with this captivating material began. Sarah has worked this gemstone for over 35 years and regularly travels to engage with jet-working communities across the continents. Alongside making jet jewellery for their beautiful shop, the Ebor Jetworks in Whitby, Sarah is regularly asked to consult and perform classes and workshops for gem conferences around the world.
