Will you choose to challenge gender inequality and domestic violence facing women within your community?
Please take a moment to listen to today's message and also take INSPIRED ACTION!
What can you do to SUPPORT women in your life and within your community who you suspect or know for a fact are experiencing abuse of any kind?
1. CALL her and let her know you are available to talk to her about anything.
2. Create safety signals between the two of you as a form of protection.
3. Create a list of support and resources online and off that are easily accessible for her to access when needed. She may not have access to the Internet.
For women experiencing emotional abuse and cannot seek help and support because of the pandemic:
1. Please be patient and compassionate towards yourself. Try to get enough rest, get out for fresh air to help clear your mind.
2. When you can try to take a moment to meditate or simply focus on something, anything that is uplifting and positive to you.
3. Reach out and get the support you DESERVE! If resources in your community are limited because of the pandemic, please reach out to a trusted friend or family member you can rely upon.
