Meet Erica Kirkwood. She is a dedicated mother, Occupational Therapist, and OTQ (Olympic Trials Qualifier. In Part 1 of this conversation Erica talks about her life, growing up and finding the sport of running by accident. Her talent led her to compete in school which eventually led to her being the first in her family to go to college. Working on her graduate studies led her to meet her husband. After graduating, she started a family and lived in the Pacific NW. She now finds herself in the very city she remembers when she was young as a fun place to visit. With the help and push of her husband Erica talks about her running and what eventually led her to push for higher goals.
