We introduce the podcast and then explain why the Bishop of Alexandra, an Egyptian, would speak Greek. The required a brief overview of the Achaemenid, Macedonian, and Seleucid Empires, and the Ptolemaic Kingdom, as well as what Hellenism is and how the Hellenization process worked.
