Join us for this week’s podcast as we continue week four of our book read by Dr. Yolanda Pierce, IN MY GRANDMOTHER’S HOUSE: BLACK WOMEN, FAITH AND THE STORIES WE INHERIT. We spend time with chapters 6-8 and reflect on being fully present, operating in tender love and having safety. Take a listen and make some time to consider how you are called to be fully present in the world with those in need, those suffering, those grieving wherever, whenever those injustices occur. Be reminded that it’s okay to be tender and gentle with ourselves, and understand how that impacts those with whom we interact as well. Finally, we connect being saved with being safe in a question that begs us to consider and be responsive to the temporal as well as the eternal. Thank you for taking the time to join us here, and catch us next week for our final episode of Season One as we wrap our book read with the last four chapters, 9-12. Until then, be good to yourself and speak tenderly to the spaces within you that are in need. See you next week!
