In this episode of Tri This, Kirstin talks about the integration of life and sport. Kirstin discusses how she gets the response of many "wide-eyes" when she says she is training for an Ironman event. Certainly it's no small feat, but she finds that many people think training for a Triathlon/ Ironman just overcomes and takes over her life. In reality, there are some big sessions over the weekend and shorter, smaller sessions during the week to help get ready and recovered for the next big weekend sessions. But the week is also a bit lighter because of home life and work. It all fits in and can fit in without burdening and burning out yourself and your family and friends. Kirstin also reflects on how many aspects and lessons she has learned through sport also translate into life and business and vice versa. We aren't always going to have motivation. We aren't always going to want to show up. But when we do, regardless of whether we wanted to or not, that's what life and sport is all about.
