Let's have a ball! Tonight is the Masquerade Ball and everyone is getting prepared. Lark and Moss get themselves ready together and summon Lark's date. Charr meets with his date, Aqua and talks with her on a big rock. Celeste is one of, if not the first at the Ball. Soon after comes Charr, then finally Lark and Moss. The night is young, however, as alarming information is revealed to the team.

All across the Eastern Continent, HEROES are born every day. 

While most people exhibit mundane characteristics, a small segment of the population show the talent for learning skills and abilities that seem impossible. While these hero-touched children sometimes manifest gifts young, it’s only through THE EXAM, a mandatory exam for all youth across the Continent to test their ability to manifest these talents. Upon receiving their results, students are instructed to choose one of a half-dozen highly revered Academies devoted to their further education.
