She got motivated to serve rural people in one of her dental camps and joined NIRD, the National Institute of Rural Development. Kalyani pursued a post-graduate diploma in rural development in NIRD and later joined a government organization as a rural youth leader to render her services in Rampachodavaram in Andhra Pradesh.
