In 1909 an interesting article was published in the Arizona Gazette about an impressive archaeological find in the Grand Canyon. If this was a legitimate article and not an April Fool's joke, it would bring with it a potential rewriting of the history books and the origins of the indigenous peoples of the United States. However, just as mysterious as this article was, so was the two men involved supposedly in the find. According to the article they worked under the direction of the Smithsonian Institute, however the institute claims no knowledge of them or their find. Is this another case of a cover up or is this just a hoax taken too far by people don't realize it for what it is?
