In this episode of, the Travelers successfully navigate the unsettling encounter with the neuroscape-entranced construction workers blocking their path. However, as they continue their journey, tensions rise when Katherine realizes that her estranged husband has been following them in his own car.

A few hours down the road, the Travelers' vehicle begins to smoke, forcing them to pull over as the engine overheats. With nowhere else to turn, Katherine decides to confront her husband, seeking both his help and closure. But the encounter takes a dark turn when he locks her in his car and begins driving toward the city of Bakersfield, determined to stop her at any cost.
