We are thrilled to publish the second episode of Jetlagged. This time, we keep our focus on international politics and discuss the West’s policy shifts towards China. Starting from President Trump’s harsh remarks related to what he labels ‘the Chinese Virus’ to the UK’s recent decision to exclude Huawei from the British 5G infrastructure, it is impossible to avoid noticing what could be an important paradigm shift. Some of the questions we will try to answer are: Is the West hardening its approach towards China? What forms do these changes take and what are possible reasons and consequences?
