On today's episode, Ryan and C.V. talk through common sayings Ryan heard growing up in white Church. Phrases like “you don’t really act like a black guy” to “do you get sunburnt?” to even seemingly innocent ones like assuming Ryan loves fried chicken and watermelon. Some of these could be classified as “Microaggressions,” and others as forms of “othering.” 

Regardless, we hope this episode shows you the importance of language in our churches. What we say matters, and that especially matters in terms of race in our churches.
