A big part of our Christian life is learning to live into the new creation that God has made us. We are always progressing and discovering the wonders and riches of who God is in us and what He forms us into, which is His image. It is His joy to walk with you and does it in a way that will honor and validate you.
We'll look at Colossians 3 and Ephesians 4 of Paul's writings to see what He says about living into the new creation we are in Christ. We'll look at the Greek meaning of each word for "New Creation" Paul uses and see the contrast in the two and how they're significant for us to understand. I'll share two powerful illustrations around transformation that'll help us understand it. One is through the process of a caterpillar changing into a butterfly and the other a recent story from the current 2022 Winter Olympics.
I'll end the episode in confessing and declaring what God sees in you and what He says over your life. When we live in right relationship with the Lord, He'll only speak to the "New" that is emerging in us, calling up into our identity and inheritance in Christ. Our response is crucial as we learn to partner with Him and be obedient to what is emerging of Christ in us.
Key Scriptures:
Colossians 3:5-11
Ephesians 4:17-25
Philippians 2:2-5
Romans 6-8
