Larry LaRocco was elected to two terms as U.S. Representative from Idaho’s First District, where he served on the House Banking and Interior Committees. While in Congress LaRocco passed legislation into law creating the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. Previously he was North Idaho Field Director for Senator Church. Subsequent to Congress, he was a managing director of the American Bankers Association and established a public affairs and government relations firm, LaRocco and Associates. He is past president and board member of the US Association of Former Members of Congress. He is a graduate of the University of Portland and Boston University and studied at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. LaRocco served in the US Army from 1969 -72 in Military Intelligence attaining the rank of captain. He and his wife, Chris, live in Boise.
