S1E3 - Squashing the Bugs of Injustice

Listen Later

For our third episode, we wanted to share inspiring stories of bad ass women of color who left indelible marks upon the world. Although their stories take place during different time periods, they faced similar issues regarding race, sex and freedom. They had the courage to be themselves, stand up for justice and change history along the way. They helped to pave the way for the modern civil & LGBTQ+ rights movements. Whether it was starting a revolution in the 60's, studying folklore and traditions or writing about the true darkness that plagued the Jim Crow South, these women GOT SHIT DONE! We were both incredibly inspired and hope you are too. We will continue to show up, learn and fight to squash the bugs of injustice that still plague this country.

If we missed anything or know of another bad ass woman (there are plenty!!) send it our way at [email protected]
