Joining me today on my trail running interview is Swim Run Competitor Christopher Sundberg From ARK Swimrun.
16 years ago he wrote the first ‘Just Cause’ Video Game in his kitchen. Whilst he still works as Chief Creative Officer, Avalanche Studios, he founded and runs his own Swimrun wear company, ARK Swimrun.
Today, I am having the pleasure to run with and introduce you to my good friend, Christofer Sundberg. I mentioned him in my last video recorded run with Gary Rust where you can hear me say that this will be my very first Swimrun.
I thought his Charity Swimrun a good time to try out his new company, ARK Swimrun which supplies wetsuits among many other items. For the record, I did not compete. Sorry if this disappoints you. There are plenty of tidbits for you in this conversation, if you are interested in Swimrun though.
In return I talked him into today’s run which in hindsight might not have been the best idea as he is recovering from a cold. It’s a bit of a stop-and-go run but it is a Base Run of 3 miles. In addition to it being freezing cold, we do try to avoid ice plates on the ground [I take a tumble at 00:21:50], go through mud (which you can hear throughout most of the audio) slightly more flooded areas of the forest, as well as a more bouldery area, just to have a little chat in a place called ‘Russian BBQ’ fast forward to 00:20:50 if you want to hear about what happened there.
Either way, this run is more of an obstacle course at slow pace, come to think of it
