Today I talk about my experience with racism/ facing discrimination and growing up in America. I was born here in the states but, moved to my parents home country of Ethiopia and spent most of a childhood there. So when we moved back, I felt almost like a foreigner in my own mother country. I share stories from how people first viewed me and changed their perception indefinitely of an African-American after meeting me and also a comment I received from a now good friend that shocked me! Come listen to a talk I know many of you with immigrant parents can agree with!!
