Churches today are structured in various configurations. Unfortunately many depart from the clear instructions of Scripture. The Bible is not silent on how the church is to be led. The New Testament teaches God's way is the best way: churches should be led by a plurality of elders, functioning under Jesus Christ as the Chief Pastor. Biblical elders must be qualified, Spirit-appointed, pastoral, accountable and jointly lead God’s church.
