This episode we are speaking to a father son combo, Michael Budd and his Son George!

Michael is an award-winning blacksmith and sculptor located in Castlebaldwin, Co. Sligo. In 2006 he set up his own forge in Riverstown and in the interim has since steadily built a reputation for his hand forged works. Michael has created sculptures all over the country, taught literally hundreds of students the art of blacksmithing!

    • His son George ! Has grown up around blacksmithing his whole life, spending the time he wasn't in school just hammering on the anvil and assisting his father!  George recently completed the DFS programme in Herefordshire, Ludlow & College in the UK where he completed his blacksmithing training and is now a journeyman blacksmith.
