As we learn more about the life of King David, we encounter a confounding paradox. God declares David as a man after God’s own heart, yet the Bible recounts several less than honorable stories about David. What are we to make of these glaring contradictions, especially as it pertains to such a prominent Biblical figure? We examine David’s complicated and contradictory life and challenge ourselves to walk a mile in his shoes.
