(A bit of a difficult English dictation today!)
A weekly dictation to help learners of the English language to improve their listening comprehension.
The first endangered U.S. animal has been cloned. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that they have successfully cloned a black-footed ferret. Black-footed ferrets were declared extinct in 1970. However, two years later a small population was found living on a Wyoming farmer’s property. This cloned female ferret, was cloned from the frozen cells of another ferret that lived more than 30 years ago. Officials say that the newly cloned ferret will become part of a breeding program and add some genetic diversity to the species. Do you think the cloning of endangered species is a good thing?
