My guests include Dwayne Spencer, President and CEO of Memphis Habitat. Recently, Habitat for Humanity International received $436 million in unrestricted giving from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott. Of that, Memphis Habitat received $7.5 million. He joins me to talk about that and how it will change many lives. The small town of Mason in Tipton County has been in the news a lot of late involving a potential state takeover and threat to surrender their charter because of financial mismanagement by the state Comptroller’s office. State Rep. Antonio Parkinson, a member of the Black Caucus sat both sides down to try and work out an arrangement. He explains what happened.
