Episode Notes
My guests include Dwayne Spencer, President and CEO of Memphis Habitat. Recently, Habitat for Humanity International received $436 million in unrestricted giving from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott. Of that, Memphis Habitat received $7.5 million. He joins me to talk about that and how it will change many lives. The small town of Mason in Tipton County has been in the news a lot of late involving a potential state takeover and threat to surrender their charter because of financial mismanagement by the state Comptroller’s office. State Rep. Antonio Parkinson, a member of the Black Caucus sat both sides down to try and work out an arrangement. He explains what happened. Curtis Weathers is the founder and director of The Brotherhood B2M. He will talk to us about his dedication to helping our young boys grow into successful men. That and more on the next RTM on air and online. Monday, 6-7pm central, WYXR 91.7 FM, WYXR.org, Tunein, Facebook Live, YouTube and wherever you get your podcast!
