LSAT BOSS with Shana Ginsburg, Esq.

S1E7: ID the Conclusion II: Transition Words & Substitutes; Myth-Busting Accommodations for Anxiety

Listen Later

In this episode, Shana Ginsburg and her former LSAT student Claudia Ryan cover Part II of our Conclusion lesson.  Be sure to begin with S1E6 for Part I of this lesson.  Part II is all about transition words and keyword analysis. LSAT arguments are supported and conditioned not only by the ordering of the premises and conclusions,  but also by connectives which signal order, relationship and movement.  Transitional words and phrases connect and relate ideas, sentences, and paragraphs. They assist in the logical flow of ideas as they signal the relationship between sentences and paragraphs.
We'll discuss how to analyze transition words before heading to the answer choices for a keyword analysis.   We'll finish today's episode with a tough conclusion practice question.
We'll also be busting a few LSAT myths about accommodations for students with test anxiety.  If you're considering testing with accommodations, you won't want to miss it.
