After those first few very painful weeks following my then-husband telling me he wanted a divorce, we were still figuring out what was next with our relationship, our household, our family, and our businesses and professional relationships. We were still working and living together—going through the motions—and had a lot to sort out as we navigated uncoupling our lives.
