My guests include MSCS board member Michelle McKissick. The search for a new superintendent is underway with new guidelines and a deadline in place. She will update us on the timeline and how important the input from the public is to the process. She will also explain the ongoing discussions regarding the three Germantown schools. Alyce Hart serves the community as a Memphis Police Officer and even more importantly as the founder and director of Know Thy Worth. This organization is focused on keeping our young women on the right track while also giving back to the community. She tells me how her being inspired at an early age now helps her inspire others. Next, Justin Hart knows Hollywood but is still attached to his hometown of Memphis. Next weekend he will host his second annual Black Men Crowned event which will honor 10 men for their accomplishments and contributions to our city. He will share the list of honorees and why he created this award show.
