About Christine Bowen:

Christine Bowen is a respected endurance executive with more than 13 years of experience in the industry. She currently holds the role of Chief Operating Officer for Running USA, the trade association for the sport. Her professional experience as a partnership creator, strategic thinker as a solution builder are an outstanding combination. She has been described as “an operational expert that can sell.” She develops strong relationships on behalf of the organization and personal connections alongside them.

In her current role, Christine is responsible for actualizing new partnerships and overseeing activations. She spearheads the annual industry conference, the largest gathering of industry professionals globally. Over the last ten years, she has grown the event by more than 70% in revenue and 145% in participation. This makes her responsible for 75% of the organization's revenue. She works closely with the Board of Directors to set company goals and to execute the strategic plan.

Christine is a people connector and builds relationships for the long term. Her industry network scales internationally and she is considered one of the top tier influencers to know in the North American endurance space. She has spoken and presented on the state of the sport throughout the United States as well as in Singapore, Thailand and the UK.

Christine is a member of the Marathon and Endurance Events Advisory committee for the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4). She was also a core member of the Endurance Sports Alliance which led relief lobbying efforts for the endurance industry during the pandemic. Christine is passionate about sports, the outdoors and the environment. She is on a mission to make sports and the outdoors accessible to all. She has personally run 8 marathons and 20+ half marathons. It fulfills her personally and drives her professionally
