WELCOME TO PARDE KE PEECHE! Our podcast is dedicated to looking at the various cinemas of India, through a critical and academic lenses. 

In our very first episode we look at the fascinating relationship between the stage and screen in India, with a special focus on Bollywood/Hindi cinema. India being home to various theater forms, from regional folk theater, Parsi theater, and ancient Sanskrit theater, we explore how these forms were an influence on the Hindi cinema.
