The wrong sacrifice… I can’t say enough about this… In a job where we preach sacrifice, we sometimes sacrifice the wrong things in the “name of service.” You should not be sacrificing your family at the expense of being a good firefighter. This is a crucial imbalance that needs to be addressed immediately if this is you. Your wife, husband, and kids come first ladies and gents. Not second to a career that will ask for everything, but may give you nothing in return.
