S2 E2: I want a better relationship with food, but I'm scared to gain weight. What do I do?

Listen Later

Welcome back to another episode of Even the Sparrow! Today, Nicole is addressing a fear that she often walks through with many of her clients and is one that kept her stuck in disordered eating for too long: the fear of weight gain. While choosing to pursue food freedom doesn't inherently mean that your weight will change, addressing these fears is a critical component of reaching acceptance of your body, no matter what it looks like. Rest assured, there are steps you can take to support working through the fear of weight gain, and it all starts with letting those fears be known!

We get into:

  • how the fear of body changes kept Nicole stuck in disordered eating for too long.
  • 6 key points to address the fear, and tangible steps to move the healing process along.
  • a life-changing framework to put words to all of your thoughts and feelings around letting go of your "ideal body" and choosing body acceptance.
  • an encouraging reminder for the woman who's not ready to pursue body acceptance just yet, but wants to start healing her relationship with food.
