Mardi Hogan may not be a household name when you think of local drummers, but I have a feeling that'll change very soon. The reason you may not be familiar with Mardi is largely due to the fact that she hasn't actually been playing for very long at all. So what makes a happily married mother who is already busy balancing her career and family duties decide to pick up the sticks for the first time?
Find out how Mardi received a Red Cymbals endorsement despite only being relatively new to drumming. Mardi is living proof that it's never too late to take up an instrument. I found our chat to be quite inspirational as well as informative with Mardi sharing some fabulous tips on mastering the kit!
Mardi is certainly a passionate musician and a delight to chat with, we had a lot in common including our first concert experience! Keep your eye out for her band Easy Tiger, and ladies who like to jam will be pleased to know that Mardi has organised a once a month Girls Jam, for more info please see the link below.
The interview covers Mardi's background, her musical journey thus far, and don't forget to hang around to the end to see how many of the 20 questions Mardi manages to get through in 2 minutes!
Music; intro and outro is a Swing/Jazz practice piece performed by Mardi
Please remember to subscribe, like, follow, rate, and comment (whichever your podcast listening platform allows) to assist my podcast series to reach more music interview podcast listening audiences. If you enjoy this then please leave a comment, I hate to nag but having audience interaction is the only way to get the various podcast platforms to promote a podcast series.
