In order to move forward in our walk with Christ, we have to leave sin alone. The sin of disobedience is a gateway sin to the other sins. Think about it. Disobedience leads to pride, gluttony, fornication, greed, etc. When we disobey we are causing a separation between us and God. Yes, we have Jesus, but we don't need to continue in sin so grace can abound (Rom. 6:1). We should do our very best to avoid the very appearance of evil, even when it doesn't make sense to obey.
