Happy Black History Month! We are continuing the "Black History Month Series": celebrating Black OTs (students, new grads, and practitioners) who represent the < 5% of the profession.
Meet Nancy (IG: @lovelyy_ot), my OT sis, who is a Ghanian-born OT and graduate from D’Youville College. In this episode, we discuss about her college experience, and her newest project, "Therapists of Color", with the goal to increase unity and create a safe space to discuss important topics that therapists of colors face on a daily basis. This episode is all about striving to increase advocacy of the health profession and use self-empowerment to make a difference regardless of the skin we are in.
