Sara LeHoullier has always been a busy-bee. With a BA in English Literature and a Master's in Sustainable Development, she jumped from teaching English as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Madagascar to managing donor-funded projects with a large NGO, then dove into consulting with Microsoft before striking out on her own. She currently designs Squarespace websites and writes copy for passionate entrepreneurs and small businesses. Sarah is also the co-founder of Shop the Change, a web app designed to help consumers make value-based shopping decisions and support the brands working to make the world a better place.
Listen in as Sarah shares how her passion for volunteering and love of doing many things led her to multiple side-hustles and what it was like to hold on to a career that no longer served her.
Today, we dig into the importance of enjoying your job and integrating it with who you are, how your job should be aligned with your values, how she used her personality to market naturally, how it’s a good idea to get paid for the things that you are really good at, and why it’s a bad idea to trade for services. Sara also shares with us her practical tips for setting up organizational systems, and building a community around you.
