Dr. Sadaf Jaffer @voteforjaffer is a scholar and activist. She recently completed two terms as mayor of Montgomery Township, New Jersey where she was the first South Asian woman to serve as mayor in New Jersey, and the first Muslim woman to serve as mayor of a municipality in the United States. Jaffer is also a Postdoctoral Research Associate in South Asian Studies at Princeton University. And if that's not enough, Sadad is currently running for New Jersey General Assembly in Legislative District 16. If elected, she will be the first Asian American woman and the first Muslim American in the New Jersey Legislature.
