-Safety: Political (How do political factors affect a place?) and Physical (Is there something more beyond petty crime?) 

-Transportation: Will you need or want a car? Is there public transportation? 

-Location: Not by country, but by location IN a country. Want to live in a city? Country-side?  

These are just a few items we discuss as you begin to think more critically about your first or next international teaching position.
