NEW MONTH NEW THEME. This time it’s doppelgängers. To kick off one of our favourite horror themes, we're talking about Black Swan (2010), directed by Darren Aronofsky. 🩰🖤🦢
I won’t lie to you, a lot of this episode is us thirsting, but that’s only fitting for the Mila/Natalie sex scene that threw a whole generation into gay panic. But never fear, there is some critical analyses of the body horror as well as sexual exploitation in the dance industry. We also talk about the male gaze and wonder if Aronofsky accurately depicts female competition.
