Not every side hustle needs to be a traditional business. Colin Jeffries joins us this week to discuss how he holds down a 9-5 but finds time to also cohost a weekly podcast called take5: The Rethink Marketing Podcast.
Colin and his cohost, Eric Reed believe that marketing and sales is not about striving for perfection but rather striving to be present and aware in the moment. It's about a willingness to be open and to understand that in order to make positive impacts in your professional and personal life you need to step outside the echo chamber to RETHINK & REAPPLY the everyday normalities. They strive to break down the myths, misconceptions and sometimes flat out lies surrounding marketing & sales.
Colin holds a BBA from the University of Cincinnati, Lindner College of Business and is an MBA candidate from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business. He has over a decade of marketing, advertising, branding, strategy, and attribution tracking, with a focus on healthcare specifically since 2015. He provides marketing services to a variety of healthcare practices, including addiction/recovery, orthopedics, nephrology, clinical trials, etc.
Colin also looks out for the community and is recognized as a pioneer in direct-to-patient marketing for recovery. He currently leads marketing initiatives for BrightView Health, a comprehensive outpatient addiction treatment provider with 16 locations serving around 5,000 patients.
Colin can show business owners how to market even to unmarketable demographics. When Brightview wanted to find a way to reach more homeless people with their anti-addiction services, Colin was the one they trusted to help reach such an unavailable demo. One of his secrets is that marketing isn't just a "department" and he can tell you why.
