Here is your 2-minute tip based on the book, “Plain speaking: How to preach and teach effectively" by David Bercot. 

Bercot focuses on topical sermons because "they are usually the easiest for beginning speakers". However, he has a helpful chapter on expository sermons.

Bercot offers six steps.
