Macin and his family had just moved to St. George, Utah from Canada, in hopes of a better life. 

Macin seemed to be adjusting well. At 17, he was adapting to his new school and getting good grades. Despite this, Macin had his cell phone and laptop taken away from him on August 31, 2015, when he was caught online past his curfew.

Macin was heard getting ready for school the next morning, September 1, 2015, and leaving for the bus around 7:40 a.m.

Macin was never seen or heard from again.
