Bob Holmes, broadcaster, journalist and author of Shanks, Yanks and Jurgen: the men behind Liverpool’s rise again, joined Inside the Beautiful Game to talk about his book about the Reds' legendary manager.

Bob joined Inside from his home in Malaysia to discuss his book, why he decided to write it, his love for the late, great Bill Shankly, his thoughts on the modern game and how the Scot would have adapted to it, Jurgen Klopp, FSG and much more. He also spoke about his early life and how his travels and love for sport gave way to a journalism career, plus his experiences of the Mexico 1970 world Cup – Pele and all.
