Yang Yen Thaw is a multi-disciplinary expert with a unique blend of corporate / M&A law, AI consultancy, digital transformation, and teaching. Equipped with a set of certifications in AI, Data Protection, Risk Management, and Management Consultancy, he has contributed to senior roles across a global landscape – from Tokyo to New York. He presently works in the area of Futureproofing businesses through digital transformation – digital intelligence and digital enablement through managed services.
He has authored and published several books – yt’s Data Protection Governance Framework, Digital Transformation – an introduction, Common Contract Clauses 2023, Business Negotiations, and a fiction. He has also developed courseware relating to AI for Business, Design Thinking for Data Protection, Critical Thinking, and Cybersecurity. Recognized for his excellence in training, Yen Thaw received the "Trainer Excellence Award" for 2 consecutive years by NTUC LearningHub for his outstanding performance since 2021.
Yen Thaw has been featured in webinars and courses by premier organizations in Singapore such as the Prime Minister’s Office and SkillsFuture Singapore (a Ministry of Education initiative), IMDA / PDPC. As a trainer, he has taught over 3,000 professionals through the Singapore Institute of Management, Temasek Polytechnic, NTUC LearningHub, and several private educational institutions in trending sectors like AI, data protection, contract law, and cybersecurity, across a variety of organizations, from public agencies such as IMDA / PDPC, Ministry of Home Affairs, CyberSecurity Agency, to listed companies and SMEs.
He leverages his diverse skills and original frameworks like QUESTS©for Critical Thinking and D.E.S.I.G.N Thinking, to navigate the complexities of modern business. With 12 years at the helm of his own law firm in the past, Yen Thaw brings his experience in legal, management, international negotiations, and technology practices.
