Joining Scott Mason in this episode of the Purpose Highway Podcast is Chris Kito, Professional Speaker and survivor of a near-death experience (NDE). The sheer experience of being at death's door changes a person in the most fundamental of ways. Chris shares the context behind his life when he almost died and the reality shift he underwent afterwards.
As a person living with an allergy to nuts, Chris was always mindful of what he ate. However, one mistake with a birthday cake would almost cost him his life. He shares the struggle he went through to bring himself to the hospital and the degradation of his physical health upon reaching the emergency room.
Chris shares how doctors were already giving up on him and the almost unexplainable experience he had meeting his deceased grandfathers. He explains, in as best as words can describe it, a reality which was no longer part of this physical realm and how he was simply told that it was not his time yet and much work had yet to be done.
Against all odds, Chris came back to life. The following weeks of recovery were painful and Chris had to learn how to reintegrate back to his old life. He shares that his NDE revealed a new set of principles and priorities to him. He has since searched for community to share in his experiences and now dedicates his time teaching others about reconnection as his pursuit of purpose.
